Ceara Coveney plays Elayne Trakand, the newest White Tower novice, and Dónal Finn plays Mat Cauthon after Barney Harris left the series after season one.
Before the SAG-AFTRA strike, I interviewed them and Marcus Rutherford, who is portraying Perrin again.
Despite our limited time, I asked each of them what individuals and/or places they wanted their characters to explore.
“Perrin rarely interacts with Aes Sedai or the White Tower.
Rutherford told me, "When I watch or read the episodes, I think that's a fascinating hierarchy and structure."
“It feels like a different show. I'm generally in the woods. I think it would be interesting to interact with those powerful characters.”
Coveney was thrilled to play Elyane and collaborate alongside Madeleine Madden and Zoë Robins, who played Egwene and Nynaeve, respectively.
