Is a John Wick 5 sequel in the works with Keanu Reeves? Here's the most recent news from Chad Stahelski.

Five months have passed since John Wick: Chapter 4, so it's safe to say (with a SPOILER WARNING) that the 2023 film appears to finish Keanu Reeves' title assassin's saga.

Chapter 5 is still being discussed, and director Chad Stahelski has updated us on the project.

Stahelski spoke with Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast about John Wick and other things.

The director, like Reeves, co-directed John Wick with David Leitch and directed the next three films alone.

He would know if John Wick: Chapter 5 was happening, but Stahelski said this about the prospective movie:

The August 2020 announcement that John Wick: Chapter 5 and Chapter 4 would film back-to-back made it seem certain.

By March 2021, Lionsgate released Chapter 4 as a standalone, leaving Chapter 5's destiny uncertain.

Since Chapter 4, talk about John Wick 5 has increased, but Stahelski stated in this latest interview that he and Reeves have no concrete ideas for another sequel and will focus on other projects.
