Gigi Hadid Was Released From Her Marijuana Arrest in the Cayman Islands

Gigi Hadid's summer vacation got off to a rocky start with her arrest at Owen Roberts International Airport in the Cayman Islands on July 10.

Customs officials found "ganja and utensils" in her luggage after arriving via a private plane.

Both Hadid and her friend were arrested on suspicion of importing ganja and related utensils.

They were taken to the Prisoner Detention Center but released on bail.

On July 12, they pleaded guilty and were fined $1,000 during a court appearance in the Cayman Islands.

Gigi's representative stated that the marijuana was legally obtained in NYC with a medical license and medical use is legal in Grand Cayman since 2017.

Despite the incident, Hadid's record remains clear, and she continued to enjoy her time on the island.

They are not facing any additional charges related to the incident.
