Director of The Equalizer 3 Antoine Fuqua cites Batman as his preferred superhero.
With movies like Training Day, The Magnificent Seven, and The Equalizer series, Antoine Fuqua's name has come to be associated with some of Hollywood's most action-packed pictures.
Even at times, it has been said, the director has spoken with Hollywood studios about future superhero movies.
However, Fuqua warns that if he were to venture into the world of superhero movies, it could have to be a project featuring the Caped Crusader.
"Man, I believe they're enjoyable. I believe they're amazing, says Fuqua of superhero movies, according to Brandon Davis of ComicBook.com.
"Batman is the one with whom I identify most, for some reason. Probably because I was raised watching Batman.
He simply seems like a figure I'd understand a little bit more if I lived in New York, but there haven't been any more discussions about it.
It's a shame for Fuqua that DC Studios already has two directors at work on independent films starring Batman and his Rogue's gallery.
The Batman series in the DC Elseworlds is still being worked on by Matt Reeves, while The Flash director Andy Muschietti has been chosen to oversee The Brave and the Bold in the DC Universe.
